Snappy

Snappy sits in your tray and does two things fast.  

Screenshot mode (Ctrl+Shift+S): drag a region, it's on your clipboard instantly and saved to Pictures/Snappy.

  GIF mode (Ctrl+Shift+G): drag a region, record until you press the hotkey again. Esc cancels. Optional countdown before recording starts, and gifsicle optimization is built in so files stay small. Can export MP4/WebM too if you have FFmpeg installed.

  Extras: fixed aspect-ratio capture (16:9, 1:1, 9:16 and more), configurable hotkeys and FPS from the tray settings. To run: download, unzip, launch Snappy.exe. Everything saves to Pictures/Snappy with timestamps.

  Known quirk: aggressive GIF compression can occasionally over-crunch colors. If a GIF looks off, it's that.
